Joy of joys! If you’re awfully fond of rubber duckies, now they can follow you out of the bathtub and onto your keyboard. Add just one Duckeys keycap to your favorite key or go ahead and swap out the whole alphabet. They even come in a rainbow of colors, like in the Instagram post below. Be more like Ernie from Sesame Street (or Benoit Blanc for that matter) and show off your love for the classic squeaky toy. You can even add a quack noise to every keystroke for maximize rubber duck enjoyment.
There are also some that come with silly headwear like a cowboy hat, crown, or chef’s hat. The latest theme is winter, offering a duck with its head frozen in a block of ice or one wearing a scarf. Perfect for typing up those out of office messages before curling up on the couch with a cup of cocoa.
Swapping out the entire set of alphanumeric keys will really put your typing skills to the test remembering which key is which. If your muscle memory is not great but you still want a fun keyboard, there’s a Ghostbusters keycap set and a LEGO keyboard you can build on. But if you’re confident you can keep it straight, why not try the Star Wars version in Aurebesh? Or a keyboard in the Elvish or Dwarvish languages from Lord of the Rings?
If even this duckie overload isn’t enough for you, never fear. There are plenty of rubber ducks out there to keep you company. They even come dressed as some of our favorite pop culture characters, like Lord of the Rings heroes and villains. There’s also officers from both Star Trek: The Next Generation and the original series, as well as characters from Jaws and Jurassic Park. Rubber duckies sure do make everything lots of fun!
