Episode two of She-HulkOpens in a new tab is now behind us. And it’s filled with larger MCU Easter eggs, all hidden within all the legal drama and one-liners. In fact, for the eagle-eyed viewer out there, this episode might have had our first confirmation of a MAJOR Marvel mutant. In today’s Nerdist News, we explain it all for you.
Episode two begins with Jen losing her job at her law firm. Only for another firm needing a specialist in superhuman affairs to instantly hire her. But before that, we see her job hunting online. One website has a couple of huge MCU reveals. The first says “Man fights with metal claws in bar brawl.” Ok, we know that’s gotta be Wolverine. Since Logan’s first appearance was in The Incredible HulkOpens in a new tab, it’s only fitting the first official MCU reference to him is something Hulk related.

Also, we finally have an acknowledgment of the events of EternalsOpens in a new tab. A website blurb reads “Why is there a giant statue of a man sticking out of the ocean?” We the viewers know it’s a dead CelestialOpens in a new tab. But it seems that the regular folks think it’s a statue and not an ancient alien god. After the Blip, we can see why that might not be front-page news every single day.

The most fun Easter eggs come in relation to Emil BlonskyOpens in a new tab (Tim Roth), last seen in 2008’s The Incredible Hulk. When Jen calls her cousin Bruce to tell him that her new client is the monster who once tried to kill him. Mark Ruffalo actually says to Jen “That fight was so many years ago, I’m a completely different personOpens in a new tab now. Literally.” Well yes indeed, as back then he was Edward Norton!
