TikTok has become a platform for finding superstar talent in unusual ways. Of course, the viral platform is best known for its dance challenges. However, musicians of all sorts, like these rubber chickens, are finding their audience quickly on the platform too. Entering Spotify for the first time ever is TikTok phenom, Mr. Blik.
We found the harmonica prodigy via Laughing Squid. And no, your eyes do not deceive you. Mr. Blik is a tiny pet rat that can play the harmonica. His humans first featured his newly discovered talent last week in a now-viral TikTok video.
It's not the best song but at least he tried! 🥺🎵 #ratsoftiktok #rat♬ origineel geluid - ratscratch
The account is only a few months old, but it is growing quickly. Mostly thanks to Mr. Blik and his brothers, Waffle and Gordon Quid. And this “rat pack” goes by “ratscratch” on their humans’ TikTok profile, spacecaptainz. The latest video features “The Best Song,” composed by the tiny pet rat musical genius himself, Mr. Blik.
One of Mr. Blik’s humans reveals a little behind-the-scenes info on the Spotify upload. And, she says, “My boyfriend got the world’s tiniest harmonica from a close friend for his birthday. One day he got home from work and said we should try and let Mr. Blik play on it. With help of some sweet good honey, we created this song!”
After some long hours or hard work.. Mr Blik is very happy now that his song is released on Spotify! 🥰🐀 #ratsoftiktok #rat #harmonicarat♬ The Best Song - Mr Blik
Now, while Mr. Blik probably won’t be making any music chart, he most definitely made his way into thousands of hearts. Additionally, the ratscratch squad definitely knows how to delight a crowd. Despite the trio only discovering their musical talents recently, the channel has posted other joy-inducing videos. Like this adorable one of the tiny rats trying to eat their nomz, aka hard-boiled egg.
