Genius Pet Rat Plays Harmonica and Releases ‘Best Song’

We found the harmonica prodigy via Laughing SquidOpens in a new tab. And no, your eyes do not deceive you. Mr. Blik is a tiny pet rat that can play the harmonica. His humans first featured his newly discovered talent last week in a now-viral TikTok video. 

The account is only a few months old, but it is growing quickly. Mostly thanks to Mr. Blik and his brothers, Waffle and Gordon Quid. And this “rat pack” goes by “ratscratch” on their humans’ TikTokOpens in a new tab profile, spacecaptainz. The latest video features “The Best Song,” composed by the tiny pet ratOpens in a new tab musical genius himself, Mr. Blik.

One of Mr. Blik’s humans reveals a little behind-the-scenes info on the Spotify upload. And, she says, “My boyfriend got the world’s tiniest harmonica from a close friend for his birthdayOpens in a new tab. One day he got home from work and said we should try and let Mr. Blik play on it. With help of some sweet good honey, we created this song!”

Now, while Mr. Blik probably won’t be making any music chart, he most definitely made his way into thousands of hearts. Additionally, the ratscratch squad definitely knows how to delight a crowd. Despite the trio only discovering their musical talents recently, the channel has posted other joy-inducing videos.
