Most of us who are hardcore, Disney theme park fans have daydreamed about getting a chance to stay at Disney’s the Haunted Mansion even for just one night. Well, Disney isn’t allowing for overnight stays in the home of the 999 Happy Haunts just yet. But we might have the next best thing. Via Super Punch, we’ve learned about a Haunted Mansion-inspired “ghostly retreat.” Or should we say, a Haunted Mansion inspired Airbnb.
Airbnb
The four-bedroom home is located in Fullerton, California, just fifteen minutes away from the Disneyland Resort. This Airbnb may look like a regular suburban home from the outside. Quite different from the appearance of an antebellum manor home from New Orleans. But once you step inside, it’s a whole different story.
YouTuber Eat it Katie has a detailed video describing her night in the Haunted Mansion Airbnb. And based on her video, we’re dying to stay there too.
There are tons of callbacks to the original Disneyland attraction spread throughout the four-bedroom, home. They themed the master bedroom to Master Gracey, the owner of the Haunted Mansion in Disney lore. The owners themed another bedroom to Madame Leota, the fortune-teller who dwells within the crystal ball. And one can hear the beloved narration and music from the original attraction throughout.
Airbnb
The coolest of all is perhaps the game room, which looks just like the stretching portraits room at the start of the famous Disney ride. Even the Hatbox Ghost gets a room all his own. And there are other spooky details peppered throughout. The iconic wallpaper, the changing portraits, and the hitchhiking ghosts all get a nod. They left no gravestone unturned. Oh, and speaking of gravestones, if you look outside your window, you’ll see a graveyard in the backyard.
Airbnb
The Haunted Mansion-themed Ghostly Retreat Airbnb will set you back $572 a night. The home contains four bedrooms, five beds, and two baths. And up to eight guests can stay at a time. For more information and photographs, head over to Airbnb to book your stay. As the ghost which always reminds you to “hurry back” in the Disneyland attraction would say, they’re just dying to have you.
