The lion of House Lannister, the many-headed dragon of House Targaryen, and the direwolf of House Stark are embossed on the classic chocolate cookie. The terrifying face of the leader of the White Walkers, the Night King, practically dares you to eat his cookie on the fourth chocolatey design. Oreo announced the unlikely brand collaboration with an unforgettable homage to the show’s iconic opening. (Is it too much to hope someone creates this sweet-looking map with stacks of Oreos in real life?)We can’t get over the face in the weirwood tree sculpted from creme, it’s too good.
Game of Thrones has long partnered with food and drink purveyors, from officially licensed wine to house-inspired whiskies to Bud Light to Mountain Dew. (Seriously.) These Oreo cookies are definitely near the top of our list for best Game of Thrones related merchandise, although these fiery shoes from Adidas are also up there.
The limited edition Oreos will be on grocery store shelves, Target, and Amazon beginning April 8. We plan on stocking up so we have something to nibble through our tears when the fates, good and bad, of our favorite characters are revealed. Assuming there will be something good happening to Jon Snow and the rest, that is. We’re not going to get our hopes up for a fairytale happy ending.
The final season of Game of Thrones premieres April 14 on HBO.
