Uncanny Replica of Willy Wonka’s Chocolate Factory Is Unsettling And Delicious

MrBeast, also known as Jimmy Donaldson, is one of the world’s most popular YouTubers. Starting out at the age of 13, the 24-year-old now has 95 million subscribers. His elaborate stunts have included recreating the set from Squid Game, among other costly endeavors. But his latest stunt takes the cake—literally. MrBeast recently recreated Willy Wonka’s Chocolate Factory, as seen in the two big-screen adaptations of the beloved children’s classic by Roald Dahl. And it is jaw-droppingly spot on.

MrBeast then had several contestants enter the Chocolate Factory, and undergo challenges that would have put the actual Willy Wonka to shame. (Minus the whole child torture thing of course). You can watch MrBeast’s full video down below:

The Chocolate Factory recreation, which seems to be in a warehouse somewhere, has multiple rooms inspired by the book and two films. One room showcased a marshmallow theme, and another featured a recreation of the “chocolate waterfall” and river from the movies. Maybe the most “of the moment” challenge is when the contestants had to decide which in a series of toilets was real, and which was a cake. (We told you this stunt took the cake).

To paraphrase John Hammond from Jurassic Park, MrBeast spared no expense in creating his little wonderland. He even got celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay to judge the contestants, who were asked to make a chocolate dessert. The final cash prize for this Chocolate Factory excursion was $500,000. That’s more than most reality grand prizes on long-running TV shows.

The video, which currently has nearly 55 million views, was all a giant promotion for MrBeast’s new brand of chocolate bars, called Feastables. You could see all the different Feastables chocolate bars and logos on the chocolate factory set. So MrBeast wasn’t emulating Willy Wonka, so much as he’s becoming WillyWonka. Although there was no dramatic exit through a glass elevator. Maybe next time, MrBeast. And then your journey towards full Wonka-ness will be complete.
