It won’t be until the fall before we get a chance to reunite with our favorite galactic bounty hunter and his infant protégé, as that is when The Mandalorian season two is set to debut on Disney+. So how do we get our fix of Outer Rim’s most dangerous man and the universe’s most adorable fifty-year-old baby until then? Well, if you’re a fan of the mobile game Disney Emoji Blitz, then consider this news your invitation to hop on board the Razorcrest. As they say on the show, “This is the way.”

It’s just been announced that Jam City, the mobile games studio behind Disney Emoji Blitz, that ‘ The Child’ and ‘The Mandalorian’ emojis will be available for a limited time in the wildly popular Match 3 mobile game. Between February 15 and February 18, The Child (who fans of course refer most often as “Baby Yoda”) and his mysterious bounty hunter protector will join fellow Star Wars characters Luke and Leia in Disney Emoji Blitz.
During this special limited-time event, players can complete in-game challenges to earn these new emojis, and thusly be among the first to feature them in text messages to friends. For samples of what the new Mandalorian-themed emojis will look like, you can check out some early images of those featuring The Child down below:

Through Disney Emoji Blitz, players can collect and match hundreds of Disney Animation, Pixar Studios and Star Wars emojis. Players can then earn prizes, complete missions, and learn about new emoji characters from Disney films such as Frozen and Wreck-It Ralph. Other iconic classics represented in the game include Mickey Mouse and his friends, the classic Disney Villains, the Muppet characters, as well as Buzz and Woody from Pixar’s Toy Story films.
And those are just the tip of the emoji iceberg when it comes to this game. Theme park characters like the 999 Happy Haunts from the Haunted Mansion are included, along with Pirates of the Caribbean. Other Star Wars characters that have already debuted their own emojis in the game besides the Skywalker twins are Darth Vader, Finn, Rey, BB-8, and Kylo Ren. Hopefully, the game will included more Star Wars characters in future additions. Who doesn’t want to see a Darth Maul, or C-3PO emojis as part of this mobile game down the line?

Like any good emoji worth its salt, The Child will come with a ton of expressions to choose from. Even the always-helmeted Mando will find a way to express himself in emoji form for this game. So far, the only two representatives from The Mandalorian series that are getting emojis for the game are the two lead characters. But hopefully in the future we see the likes of 1G-11 and Cara Dune.
The Child and The Mandalorian emojis will not be available to collect or purchase after Feb. 18, although they may be brought back periodically for e events in the future. Disney Emoji Blitz is currently available on the App Store and Google Play.
