It’s very cool to see the people who had a hand in bringing the series to life get honored on screen for their contributions in the movie.

The deep-cut The Mandalorian and Grogu cameos take place in the ending scenes of the movie. After Din Djarin has defeated The Twins and their bounty hunter with the help of Grogu and the Anzellans, the New Republic arrives to save the day and fully demolish the Hutts’ fortress on Nal Hutta. Piloting the New Republic X-wings are all of The Mandalorian‘s directors and creative minds. It’s really a fun, meta nod to the architects of the series and the movie.

Paul Sun-Hyung Lee Also Cameos in The Mandalorian and Grogu

We all know that Star Wars Rebels‘ Zeb would be in The Mandalorian and Grogu. But one more Star Wars character made a cameo in the film as well. Paul Sun-Hyung Lee cameos as Captain Carson Teva, a role he played in The Mandalorian, Ahsoka, The Book of Boba Fett. He’s going for the full New Republic bingo card. We guess that means we’ll probably see him in Dave Filoni’s New Republic movie eventually. In The Mandalorian and Grogu, Paul Sun-Hyung Lee’s Captain Teva joins The Mandalorian‘s directors and co. as pilot flying a New Republic ship to bomb Nul Hutta. Everyone loves Paul Sun-Hyung Lee, so it’s another sweet cameo.
