We’re about to see Arrakis on the big screen in mere days. Denis Villeneuve’s adaptation of Dune looks epic. The trailers have teased the film’s sweeping landscapes and designs—a gorgeous backdrop for the story of Paul Atreides. The Dune art of book, The Art and Soul of Dune, will explore the movie in greater depth. Dune executive producer Tanya Lapointe wrote the book, so we have behind-the-scenes perspective from someone who was present throughout the making of the film. And in this exclusive book trailer, Lapointe presents The Art and Soul of Dune while sharing some memories and footage from set.
Lapointe worked closely with Villeneuve on this on-screen adaptation of Frank Herbert’s iconic novel. Who better to share a look at Dune‘s concepts and designs? Besides taking readers through the entire project, the book also includes interviews with Denis Villeneuve, Timothée Chalamet, Rebecca Ferguson, Oscar Isaac, and many more.

And The Art and Soul of Dune has something unique: a soundtrack. When Dune composer Hans Zimmer read the book, he told Lapointe he was going to write music for it. Zimmer’s music adds another layer of immersion to the Dune art of book. It makes the book more of an extension of the movie experience.
