Rosario Dawson Summoned Her Inner Ahsoka Tano on DMZ set

Rosario Dawson loves her Ahsoka Tano character just as much as we do! Over on Instagram, Dawson shared a video she made while on the set of the upcoming HBO Max series DMZ. And in the video, she is in full Ahsoka mode.

ComicBook.com shared the Instagram post, which features sound effects too. Dawson noted in the caption. “#DMZ set shenanigans with the great Omar aka @nomadstudiosfx with love! Good on you with the edit. Sound effects are everythang!”

Ahsoka made her debut in animation form on Star Wars: The Clone Wars. However, fans were left waiting until The Mandalorian’s second season to meet the live-action Ahsoka, which Dawson originated. Her portrayal is so popular that she will continue as Ahsoka in the upcoming series, Ahsoka. The new series will tie into Rangers of the New Republic as well.

“I’m just really glad that [Ahsoka] lived, that we’ve been able to continue growing with her. I think that she’s so special,” Dawson shared with StarWars.com.

But before Dawson returns to the Star Wars universe, she’ll portray Alma Ortega for Ava DuVernay’s DC Comics’ DMZ adaptation. According to Entertainment Weekly, “Alma is a fearless and fierce medic who sets out on a harrowing journey to find the son she lost when New York City was evacuated at the beginning of the conflict.”

DMZ will also star Benjamin Bratt, Hoon Lee (Banshee), Freddy Miyares (When They See Us), and Jordan Preston Carter (The Haves and the Have Nots). We cannot wait to watch Rosario take on both roles. But neither DMZ nor Ahsoka have a release date yet. So, here’s to more Instagram videos and clips for more info on both.
