See Ahsoka’s Return in STAR WARS: THE CLONE WARS

Ahsoka Tano returns. The beloved character will make her first appearance in the final season of Star Wars: The Clone Wars this Friday, March 20. This marks the first Clone Wars episode we’ve seen Ahsoka in since she left the Jedi Order at the end of season five. Ahsoka finds herself alone in the galaxy, trying to help as best as she can… while wearing a very stylish and practical new jumpsuit.

See a first look at the episode, titled “Gone with a Trace” below.

Star Wars: The Clone Wars‘ last season kicked off with the Bad Batch arc, four episodes about a group of specialized clone troopers who you call when you need an unconventional approach. The stories highlighted the loyalty of the clones to each other. They’re all brothers, even with their differences. Still, fans have been excited about seeing Ahsoka again since the conclusion of the series was announced.

The trailer shows Ahsoka’s not leading a life of leisure on a remote planet. She’s staying active. And she’s back on Coruscant, albeit the lower, grimier levels. She’s working with two sisters, Trace and Rafa, who have no idea about her past. Palpatine hasn’t issued Order 66 yet, but I can understand why Ahsoka guards her secrets.

Ahsoka speaks a particular line in the trailer that is the embodiment of her character. “In my life when people need you, you help them. No matter what.”

That’s something we should all remember in these chaotic times.

And if you cannot wait until Friday for more Tano, I understand. You can see Ahsoka’s life after the Jedi Order in Star Wars Rebels, and you can read Ahsoka by E.K. Johnston (which sets up how Ahsoka comes to be Fulcrum in Star Wars Rebels).

Watch “Gone with a Trace” on Friday on Disney+.
