CinemaCon 2026 is officially a wrap, and it was a blast. From celebrity appearances to exclusive looks at upcoming films from Sony, Paramount, Disney, Universal, and more, there were so many announcements and updates that it made our heads spin. While it would be nearly impossible to cover each and every thing that we learned at CinemaCon, here are 12 really big announcements that sparked joy.
Paddington 4 Is Happening
Our favorite adorable bear is coming back for another round in Paddington 4. This was one of the first big pieces of news to come out of CinemaCon, setting the tone for a week full of reveals.
Escape From New York Reboot in the Works
StudioCanal is trying its hand at John Carpenter’s cult classic film Escape From New York. We don’t know any other details at this time but it is an exciting prospect nonetheless.
Jumanji: Open World Title Reveal and First Trailer
Kevin Hart, Jack Black, and Dwayne Johnson hit the stage (and showed their absent co-star Karen some love) at CinemaCon to reveal the next film’s title: Jumanji: Open World. Attendees also got to see the first footage from the film, which reveals that game characters like Bravestone are now in the real world… with a wild twist.
Godzilla Minus Zero Teaser Clip
Watching Godzilla stop beside the Statue of Liberty was a thrilling moment in the Dolby Colosseum. This film is one that’s on our list, and it will pick up a couple of years after the wild events of Godzilla Minus One.

Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse‘s First Images and Miles Scene
We’ve been waiting literal years to get a taste of what to expect in the final chapter of Miles Morales’ trilogy. Thankfully, Sony Pictures came prepared, allowing the audience to see a teaser where Miles has some tricks up his sleeves. And the first photos from Beyond the Spider-Verse are quite the treat.

Dune: Part Three Extended Footage
We did a complete breakdown of the footage we saw from Dune: Part Three, and it is a LOT. While there have been rumors that this film could move its release date to avoid competing with Avengers: Doomsday, they were not confirmed at CinemaCon. It looks like we will get Dunesday after all!
Masters of the Universe Reveals Three Key Scenes
We were fortunate to attend a special screening and conversation for Masters of the Universe. During that event, we were shown three different clips from the film, including Adam’s He-Man transformation and one where Skeletor actually wins.

Call of Duty will be the next video game giant to make its way to live-action on the big screen. It will arrive in June 2028, which feels like forever but will be here before we know it.

The final announcements of CinemaCon came from Disney’s Marvel Studios segment. A first teaser revealed a full look at Robert Downey, Jr.’s Doom and showed the return of Steve Rogers. And, we got news that Endgame would return to theaters in September with never-seen-before footage.
Practical Magic 2 Teaser Trailer Brings Witchy Goodness
Nicole Kidman and Sandra Bullock came to the stage to deliver news about Practical Magic 2, which hits theaters in September. And, thankfully, the film’s whimsical and wonderful trailer is out for the world to see.
