And we finally have the first teaser trailer for the Super Mario Bros. animated movie, along with the a new teaser poster for the upcoming film. Universal Pictures

All of these talented folks have contributed to some truly great animated films over the past few years, so here’s hoping they can bring that same magic to this iconic universe. Ever since 1985, the Super Mario Bros. game franchise has maintained its status a staple of pop culture. It’s high time it came back to movie screens the right way. We imagine many elements introduced in the film will find themselves working their way into the Super Mario World lands at the Universal Studios theme parks in the near future.

Super Mario Bros. hits movie theaters on April 7, 2023, in North America.
