Disney Shares All the Halloween Pumpkin Recipes You Need

To everyone who loves all things pumpkin, today is your day. Disney is celebrating being halfway to the Halloween season by sharing a ton of autumnal recipes with fans. Gorging myself on Halloween treats at Disney Parks is a tradition I honor every fall, and I know I’m not alone. So even though many of us are home following shelter-in-place measures and can’t imagine when we’ll be able to return to Disney theme parks, we can lift our spirits by making Halloween recipes from pumpkin twists to Jack Skellington cookies.

And about those Jack Skellington cookies. They’re your basic sugar cookies with icing, but if you’ve ever eaten them, you know they’re delectable. If you make the recipe below, you can decorate them with anything you’d like, too. Perhaps expand to include more characters from The Nightmare Before Christmas?

For something more ambitious, you could experiment with using puff pastry to make pumpkin twists. I imagine this delicious dessert with ribbons of pumpkin running through it would pair well with some cream cheese icing. Because yes, cream cheese icing can also serve as a dipping sauce. When you’re in the parks, you can find these at Maurice’s Treats in Disneyland.

If you want to make puff pastry, we won’t stop you (and we’ll admire you), but please know the recipe suggests frozen puff pastry.

I’m drooling. These pumpkin goodies are just the tip of the Halloween treats iceberg. Visit the Disney Parks Blog for even more recipes including pumpkin pancakes, pumpkin crème brûlée, pumpkin bars, and more. Imagine what a gift it would be to challenge yourself to make one of these pumpkin recipes each day until you work through the list.

We’re off to find out whether canned pumpkin is available in stores year-round. Fingers crossed!
