Tokyo Gets Heavy Snow, Makes Cute and Nerdy Snow Sculptures

Central Tokyo hasn’t had to deal with serious snowfall in four years. But on Monday, areas around the city received anywhere from three to eight inches of accumulation—with even more snowfall outside the city. The layer of snow caused air and ground transportation issues, but some citizens have taken the precipitation in stride and stepped outside to play. Twitter Moments brought some creative snow sculptures to our attention, and now we’re itching for a snow day even though we’re in Los Angeles.

What, you can’t make a dog out of snow?

You know Snoopy would not be so chill about this much snow.

This intrepid snow builder made two Pokémon: Pikachu and Charmander. THey might be able to build them all.

Tokyo DisneySea was hit by the snowfall, too, and just look at these tiny Mickey and Minnies and StellaLou, as captured by TDR Explorer.

I need to go play in snow now. When it snows, are you the type to go out and create art or the type that curls up on the couch with a book? Tell us in the comments.
