The crew of the Enterprise (at least one iteration of them) took to the stage yet again in Hall H in San Diego Comic-Con 2026 to discuss the fourth season of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds. Actors Anson Mount, Rebecca Romijn, Ethan Peck, Cecilia Rose Gooding, Christina Chong, Melissa Navia, and Paul Wesley sat down for a lively panel alongside showrunners Akiva Goldsman and Henry Alonso Myers. In addition to sharing reminiscences about filming this new season, currently airing, we got a little teaser for what’s to come.
This looks, if you forgive the hyperbole, truly insane. What is a dragon doing in outer space, much less breathing fire? Space is a vacuum! Science, innit? We also see what looks like a film noir-inspired turn for Una (Romijn) and some very final-sounding advice for Dr. Mbenga (Babs Olusanmokun), who may or may not be dying?! Naturally, this is all moving us toward the end of this series, which is due to take us up to just before the beginning of TOS. Hence, we see Uhura (Gooding) finally sport the Nichelle Nichols hairdo. Past is prologue and all that.
The premiere of season four just dropped a couple of days ago, featuring knowledge about Martians in the Star Trek universe. The crew travels through a temporal vortex that takes them back 65 million years, to a Jurassic-era Earth. This is all thanks to a pesky solar storm. They quickly learn that Mars is a habitable world at this point in time, ruled by an intelligent and spacefaring race.
Future episodes seem to depict a whole smattering of space adventures, and hopefully some surprises along the way. New episodes of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds air weekly on Paramount+, and we only have 15 more total!
