Quarantine is a quaran-tunity. You suddenly have the free time you need to work on that project you’ve been putting off. Maybe you’ll actually finish that screenplay you always talk about, or finally get around to cleaning out the garage. Or maybe you want to grow as a person and learn an entirely new skill instead. For that you can turn to MasterClass. It’s where experts offer courses based on years of experience and knowledge in their particular field. Now the site has all new offerings for its subscribers to dig into. They were introduced during Saturday Night Live‘s season 45 finale. Let Fleabag‘s Phoebe Waller-Bridge teach you how to journal, get the finer points on how to wear a suit from John Mulaney, and sit-in as Britney Spears teaches….uh….well….Britney Spears also has a course.
The final SNL at Home of the show’s 45th season included another edition of MasterClass quarantine. It featured Chloe Fineman’s spot-on impressions of both Waller-Bridge and Spears. The Fleabag creator will teach you journaling, with an apparent minor in meta-commentary. The latter offers a course on being Britney Spears, which involves….well that isn’t clear. But it sure looks interesting.
Also, Melissa Villaseñor did her impersonation of former Saturday Night Live writer John Mulaney. He’s teaching a course on the proper way to wear suits around the house. That might sound like a joke, but we assume that’s exactly what John Mulaney is doing during quarantine.
Even if it’s not, we know at least part of her impression was deadly accurate.
This was an honor @melissavcomedy and when I was a kid I did ask all the wrong questions at funerals. https://t.co/tpVPotAJwn— John Mulaney (@mulaney) May 10, 2020
This is the second MasterClass Quarantine Edition from SNL‘s “At Home” episodes. Previously, Fineman offered a fashion course from Timothée Chalamet, TikTok tutorials from JoJo Siwa, and Tiger King‘s Carole Baskin taught bike riding.
The only problem with all of these is they aren’t real. We have a lot of free time these days and would definitely take all of these classes.
