Cup Noodle Celebrates 50th Anniversary With Ramen Flavored Sodas

Sodas come in all flavors these days. Gone are the days of just the conventional cherry or vanilla. Now you can buy coffee-flavored sodas. You can buy chocolate sodas. Even Peeps-flavored sodas exist. So it makes perfect sense that Japan’s Nissin Foods is creating a series of ramen flavored sodas. And when you consider that Nissin Foods’ brand Cup Noodle is turning 50 this year, the story comes together.

In celebration of this milestone come four ramen-flavored sodas. These flavors are Cup Noodle, Seafood, Curry, and Chili Tomato. According to SoraNews24, where we first saw this news, these ramen sodas faithfully replicate their instant noodle counterparts. The Cup Noodle drink will be a ginger-ale style beverage, but with hints of a salty sauce and pepper. Meanwhile, the Seafood soda will be a cream-style soda, with just a hint of seafood. Next, the Curry soda will resemble a cola and contain curry spices. Finally, the Chili Tomato Soda has a tomato base with a light tingle. These sound like they might be savory.

In a tweet, the company shared that these sodas could be pre-ordered through the Nissin website or Amazon. The sodas are also available in a Cup Noodle 50th Anniversary collection. This collection includes the four sodas and all nine types of Cup Noodle flavors available. A larger set also includes eight Cup Noodle Umaibo snacks. These corn snacks have a consistency similar to cheese puffs. A great deal if you are a Cup Noodle lover.

The company’s caption, when translated, seems to challenge fans to try these flavors. We’d be up to take a sip! But alas, it looks like these sodas only ship to locations in Japan, as far as we can tell. But we hope all Cup Noodle fans in Japan can live their best life with these ramen-flavored sodas.
