We’re about to dive into our most gorgeous Pokémon worlds ever. We can just tell. In fact, the trailer for Pokémon Winds and Pokémon Waves is comprised of so much literal art, taking us through a watercolor fantasy that shows Pikachu and many other Pokémon frolicking around in many peaceful scenes, from city to park to grand mansions… And, of course, the beach! Pikachu is excited, and so are we! Especially when we meet two other glam, beach-ready Pikachu, Mr. Windycu and Ms. Wavychu, who will be our new friends in Pokémon Winds and Pokémon Waves.

Then, of course, there’s an actual look at the Pokémon Winds and Waves games. We see some cool new structures, some happy Pokémon, and, our new trainer characters, who will look slightly different depending on which new Pokémon world you wish to explore. Is it Winds or Waves? But let’s take a minute to look at Pokémon Winds and Pokémon Waves‘ new Starter Pokémon. It’s been a little while since we’ve seen new Pokémon arrive to the franchise, so this is a big deal! As mentioned, the three new Starter Pokémon in Winds and Waves will be Browt, Pombon, and Gecqua.

Browt, the Bean Chick Pokémon, will be your choice of Starter Pokémon if you are a grass-type Starter loyalist.
Pombon, the Puppy Pokémon, will be your choice if you are a fire-type Starter loyalist.
And Gecqua, the Water Gecko Pokémon, will be your choice if you are a water-type Starter loyalist.
