This next month promises to be one of the most bittersweet in the history of the galaxy far, far away. We have spent two years waiting for The Rise of Skywalker to come to theaters. Our excitement to learn how the sequel trilogy will end could not be higher. Unfortunately, we also know that each day we get closer to seeing it is one day closer to the final installment in the Skywalker Family Saga. The film will truly be the end of an era, one that has been a part of fans’ lives for over 40 years. But that’s exactly why we are also savoring every moment we can until then, including these brand new photos from the movie just shared by EW. They feature some of the film’s biggest stars alongside some newcomers, in what looks like one of the best-looking Star Wars films ever.

The first new image shows Rey with a Jedi training remote, just like Luke in A New Hope. This is where we think Rey could be learning under the tutelage of General Leia.
The next photo shows an intense Kylo Ren in front of storm troopers. His lack of a helmet is surprising, since we’ve seen someone wearing one in the trailers. We’ve also seen his old one being mended.

Newcomer to the franchise Jannah, played by Naomi Ackie, also makes a stylish appearance alongside John Boyega’s Finn. This photo will launch a million couples costumes.

This shot of Finn, (a definitely posing) Poe Dameron, and Rose Tico looks to be a still from a large Resistance meeting shown in the last trailer.

Did you ever wonder if you would root for one of the evil characters in Star Wars? If you haven’t before you might now, because it’s impossible not to love Richard E. Grant. Although he does look quite menacing as First Order Allegiant General Pryde, so we might have no choice.
Getting great Tarkin vibes from Richard E. Grant. pic.twitter.com/ikxipobfiG

Wherever this collection of stormtroopers and snowtroopers are headed looks cold and dangerous.
Pretty sure these Christmas carolers can just move along, move along. pic.twitter.com/R9MSQzZ4ma

This image has clearly had its bottom half cropped to make it look like Poe might be the one holding the lightsaber. Are we going to fall for such an obvious ploy and get way too excited by the possibility?
……Yes.

There’s no question what’s happening here though. At some point Poe Dameron, seen with Chewie and Finn, will fly the Millennium Falcon.

And while they aren’t from the movie, the three special EW covers celebrating the three trilogies are still incredible… even if they are a reminder it’s all coming to an end soon.
