Little House on the Prairie’s Trailer Reminds Us Season One Comes to Netflix this July

The Little House on the Prairie trailer begins with the familiar introduction, opening with a shot of Laura frolicking alongside the family’s beloved dog, Jack. Leaving behind everything that they know, the Ingalls uproot their lives to start anew in the American West. Netflix shares glimpses of the family in their wagon, scenic shots of the prairie, and the pioneer town they move to. It’s an intimate, emotional first look at the Ingall’s journey.
Little House on the Prairie was first adapted into a live-action series in 1974. The show ran for a whopping nine seasons. Sonnenshine offers a fresh perspective to the beloved story. The show is part hopeful family drama, part epic survival tale, and part origin story of the American West. The reimagining has already been renewed for season two.
Who Will Play the Ingalls?
Crosby Fitzgerald and Luke Bracey will play Ma and Pa. Alice Halsey and Skywalker Hughes are sisters, Laura and Mary. From what we can tell so far, the show is bound to be as heartwarming as ever.
“This show is a love story about a family,” Sonnenshine tells Tudum. “That’s really at the core of what Little House on the Prairie is about: a family that is there for each other, that tells stories to each other, tells stories about themselves.”
The first season is based on the third book in the Little House series. CBS Studios will produce with Anonymous Content. A show that exudes heart, we’re excited to see what’s in store next for the Ingalls family. Little House on the Prairie premieres on Netflix on July 9.
