Mom Creates Amazing Pop Culture Food Art for Her Kid

Some parents will do just about anything to get their kids to eat healthier foods. Thanks to the folks over at the Laughing Squid, we’ve learned of one parent in particular who pulled out all the stops to get her child to eat more nutritious meals. Laleh Mohemedi is a mom and food artist living in Australia, who in order to get her young son Jacob to eat healthier has created a large assortment of food art all based around pop culture characters that kids know and love.

The vast majority of the characters on these edible art pieces come from the Disney dream factory, so there are a lot of classic Walt Disney Animation, Pixar, Muppets, and Simpsons characters included in here. (Remember, Simpsons are Disney now too!) And of course, there’s a Marvel hero or two thrown in for good measure as well. Most of these have the letter J included on them somewhere, a reminder that these were made especially for young Jacob.

Although most of these creations are based on things that lean very kid-friendly, there are a handful that are based on more adult skewing pop culture characters. As you can see, Mohemedi made a recent piece of art that looks just like Joaquin Phoenix as the Joker from the upcoming film, and another based on Peter Dinklage in Game of Thrones. And she even has horror icons Pennywise and Freddy Kreuger in there, maybe the least kid-friendly characters in all of pop culture. Musicians such as Amy Winehouse and Snoop Dogg got their own tributes too, which we are sure were created more for mom’s amusement than for her kid’s.

JOKER ( Joaquin Phoenix ) from @jokermovie Mashed potato, noodles, blue spirulina from @rawnice, noodles, red capsicum, green capsicum, carrot and flour (not made for eating) Has anyone else seen the trailer for the new @jokermovie? OMG!! It looks INCREDIBLE! Joaquin Phoenix became one of my favourite actors after his amazing performance in I’m Still Here- where he basically fooled all of Hollywood and the world into thinking he had lost his mind- GENIUS! Seriously can not wait for this movie to be released!Hats off to you @toddphillips1 ?? . . . .
