I don’t know about you, but every once and a while, completely out of nowhere, I get a huge hankering for a McFlurry. There’s something nostalgic about the taste to me. Vanilla ice cream loaded up with chunks of candy or cookies? They’re delicious, affordable, and easy to find, since McDonald’s drive-throughs are pretty much everywhere. They make for the perfect summer evening treat.
But despite my love for McFlurrys, it’s a little disappointing that there aren’t more options. I usually settle on a classic Oreo, but some variety would be nice. Which is why I’m stoked about this next bit of news. It looks like McDonald’s is adding another McFlurry to the menu for summer. And my mouth is already watering at this flavor combination. Starting May 3, you can order Caramel Brownie McFlurrys.

McDonald’s made the announcement on April 5, in honor of National Caramel Day. We first heard about these delicious new treats over at People. And we learned that these aren’t technically a brand-new McDonald’s item. They’ve apparently been available at Canada locations since 2017. But this is the first time the Caramel Brownie McFlurrys will be ready to grab in the States. I, for one, cannot wait to try it out. Unfortunately, however, these McFlurrys will only be available for a limited time.

The fast food chain is also bringing back another popular item in time for summer. After fan petitions and much outcry, McDonald’s is re-adding the Hi-C Orange Lavaburst beverage to the menu. The drink will hit select markets before a nationwide re-release by June 2021. I grew up on McDonald’s Hi-C beverages, and even though I’m not sure my adult palette could handle it, I’m curious to check this one out, too.
