Marvel Studios Announces Full MCU Phase 5 Slate at SDCC

Marvel Studios has made its come back to San Diego Comic-Con in fine fashion. In 2019, the studio surprised us with a full Phase 4 announcement. And now, in 2022, we are getting to hear all about what we can expect from the MCU in its Phase 5. Here’s a look at all the upcoming movies and TV shows we can expect from Marvel as they continue with their long-term plans.

For the most part, the full MCU Phase 5 slate makes a lot of sense to us. Marvel Studios has confirmed that Phase 4 ends with Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. So we know now that Ant-Man and the Wasp Quantumania kicks off the next phase of the MCU. After the next Ant-Man movie comes Secret Invasion, Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3, Echo (summer 2023), The Marvels, Loki season 2 (summer 2023), Blade (November 3, 2023), Ironheart (fall 2023), Agatha: Coven of Chaos (Winter 2023/24), Captain America: New World Order (May 3, 2024), Daredevil: Born Again (and 18 episode TV series), spring 2024. Phase 5 will conclude with Thunderbolts which releases on July 26, 2024.

The MCU Phase 4 had enough content to carry it through to 2022. But the MCU has no plans of stopping any time soon. Marvel Studios’ Phase 5 takes us all the way to 2024. At least we know we don’t have to worry about where our next superhero fix is coming from. But, in case we felt like we hadn’t yet gotten enough Marvel excitement from SDCC, the studio also revealed some of its Phase 6 plans to us. That’s a lot of Marvel.

The MCU is always getting us ready for its next entry, and we certainly have a lot to anticipate. We’ll see you in the theaters and on Disney+ as we exit Phase 4 and make our way into Phase 5 of the MCU and beyond.
