But the latest Peter variant introduced in the comics is maybe the most head-scratching, and yet awesome, one yet. In the newest Marvel Comics mini-series, Edge of Spider-VerseOpens in a new tab, we’ll meet Peter Parker as a dinosaur—as a Tyrannosaurus rex in fact. Folks, get ready to meet Spider-Rex, the Spider-Man of Earth-66. Yes, it’s a dinosaur Spider-Man variant.
In a tweet, Marvel revealed an image of Spider-Rex from the first issue, battling what looks like the human Pterodactyl hybrid X-Men villain SauronOpens in a new tab, who calls him “Pter Ptarker.” Does that mean his name is pronounced “Ter Tarker??
