Mando and Baby Yoda Inspire Out-of-This-World Jackets

For the past few years, the folks at Columbia Sportswear have been creating Star Wars inspired jackets that are both comfortable and cleverly evoke the franchise. This journey began in 2016, with a Rogue One inspired jacket, followed by two years of The Empire Strikes Back offerings. The Mandalorian is this year’s theme, which we learned via io9. And worry not, there is indeed a Baby Yoda jacket made expressly for children and infants.

The kid-sized Baby Yoda coat comes with a hidden pocket featuring an illustration of The Child, and a green fleece hood with a pair of Baby Yoda-esque ears sticking out of the sides. Yes, there are pockets to hide the ears should the wearer want to. But where’s the fun in that? The jacket comes  at a $75-$80 price tag, depending on size. And of course, there is an infant version, with a Baby Yoda bunting priced at $50. You’ll have to build your own metal floating bassinet however.

Of course, there’s outfits for all you grown-up kids out there, too. Columbia has a hybrid jacket inspired by Din Djarin’s Beskar armor. This vest-jacket combo will protect you from the elements on even the most hostile planet. And the coolest part is, you can also add on a Mandalorian-style helmet gaiter, to complete your full Mando look. The jacket is priced at $300, while the “helmet” will set you back $40.

If that jacket costs too many Republic credits for your taste, then this Mando-inspired heavyweight hoodie might be just what you’re looking for. Priced at $120, this stylish gray hoodie comes with a reflective text on the front, and the signet of the deadly Mudhorn beast from the show’s first season on the sleeves.

The new Columbia The Mandalorian collection will officially be available starting at 12:01 AM EST on December 4 on the Columbia website, as well as in select Columbia stores across the country. But just like previous years, they will only be available in limited quantities. So be sure to jump on these while they are still available. This is the way.
