Homestar Runner fans know that if you want an email answered you call Strong Bad. Well, technically you email him, but that’s not the point. The point is if you want a crime solved you call Strong Bad’s alter ego
Dangeresque. Or at least, that used to be true. Now we don’t want him to solve a crime because….look, we didn’t fully think this opening paragraph through. In fairness that’s because we’re very excited that the Brothers Chaps have made another Homestar Runner board game. You can now frame your friends with Dangeresque Presents: Crime Scene Tamperer: The Party Game for Guilty Parties!
Trogdor! The Board Game let us burninate the countryside. Now Mike and Matt Chapman have partnered with Greater Than Games to let us set up our cohorts for a crime we committed. And we’ll be able to do that because our favorite graduate of Corrupt Police Academy enjoys giving rambling speeches. Here’s the new (and available) Crime Scene Tamperer‘s official description:
You are some of the worst criminals in Brainblow City. But not worst as in, like, worst offenders… worst as in: you’re all terrible at being criminals. And now you’ve all been caught red-handed at the crime scene. And here comes world famous private eye/crooked cop Dangeresque to investigate. Lucky for you, he likes to monologue. There’s still a chance to tamper with the evidence and pin the crime on one of your fellow lawbreakers before he finishes his investigation!
Designed for ages 8 and up, the game plays 2-4 and has a listed time of 20-40 minutes. It consists of three “scenes.” The goal is to “remain as innocent-appearing as possible” while framing everyone else. The winner is the person who ends with the fewest Guilt tokens when Dangeresque concludes his long-winded investigation.

Perfect no notes. But it gets better. The game comes with a digital soundboard. It includes:
- Perp Taunt Generator from the mouth of Dangeresque himself
- Cool Background Music Player for a noir-y soundtrack
- Optional Tamperer Timerer to make your turns even more frantic
- Random Crime Generator that lists your latest malfeasance
As loyal Homestar Runner fans we’d have ordered Crime Scene Tamperer ($19.95) even without that soundboard. (The artwork alone is reason enough to grab a copy.) We’re very happy to have it, though. If we want to waste time playing random quotes from a cantankerous character who types with boxing gloves we now know who to call. Or email. Just don’t play this game with the Cheat. Obviously.
