Disney Is Releasing a HOCUS POCUS Board Game

Sistahhhs! It’s never too early to start planning out your Halloween, and this year you can get ready for some Salem themed spookiness in the form of a new Hocus Pocus board game. Available this August from game and puzzle company Ravensburger, the 1993 Disney cult classic has been transformed into a board game that’s fun for the whole family. Via PopSugar, the game brings players together to save the lives of Salem’s citizens.

Ravensburger announced the Hocus Pocus game at Toy Fair 2020. Their synopsis: “Players will work together to ruin the potions concocted by the legendary Sanderson sisters to save the lives of Salem’s children before the sun rises! Fans of the movie will recognize favorite spells, appearances by characters like Binx the cat and Billy Butcherson, and for an extra bonus, the game box is designed to look like none other than “Book.” The game includes plenty of other creepy details you love about the film, but the fantastical illustrations are tame enough for even your youngest gamers.”

While we all secretly identify as either Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, or Kathy Najimy as the legendary Sanderson sisters in the movie (duh), it’ll be your job to work against them. Since the Hocus Pocus game will arrive before Halloween, you’ll have plenty of time to work it into your Halloween activity schedule. I’m sensing a re-watch and board game combo party? Maybe with a little light cosplay to round things out? Let’s just not invite Max. He will light the black flame candle, and it’ll be a whole thing.

If you’re still looking for more Hocus Pocus in your life, and to be honest, who isn’t? Then don’t forget that these fun Funko Pop! figures will finally be available in September and would look very cute on any surface while playing this game. Disney + also recently announced Hocus Pocus 2 is moving forward with director Adam Shankman.
