Listen, we love when eleven-year-olds are serious business. And, we guess if joining a Game of Thrones series was on the line, we might be too. But, if you’re considering your commitment to your work and passions, we invite you to hear from Dexter Sol Ansell about how serious he was about becoming Egg in A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms. Speaking to Nerdist, and other press, Dexter Sol Ansell revealed that he truly shaved his head for the role of Egg. And ALMOST did it during the audition, just to show how committed he was to the Game of Thrones role.

Dexter Sol Ansell shares of his Egg look in A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, “It was not a bald cap. I did have to shave my hair. The first audition, they said, ‘Are you okay with shaving your head?’ And I was fully committed. I was like, ‘I’m going to do this.’ Actually, during one of the last auditions, we had a plan to bring a razor into the audition and then just shave my hair, and then we were like, ‘What if you don’t get the role?” Then I’m going to go to school with a bald head for no reason. And the first thing is, it’s very cold. It’s very cold being bald. But I do like it. And I made kind of a business at my school because basically everyone wanted to touch my hair, and we have this youth club where you can get food and everything, and I went, ‘Right, if you want to touch my head, then you have to buy me something. And I made a whole thing.'”
Committed and enterprising, we love A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms‘ Dexter Sol Ansell already—and we know he’ll make a great Egg.
