Cosplayers Transform Into STAR WARS Characters By Passing the Brush

I confess I’m not overly familiar with TikTok challenges. Or even TikTok for the matter. I am, however, aware that creators upload some pretty stupendous material through the platform. Whether it’s Washington Post‘s Dave Jorgensen keeping us sane or cosplayers modeling Hogwarts fashion for every decade, I can’t get enough. But until I saw these cosplayers turn themselves into female Star Wars characters with the wave of makeup brush, I totally missed out on the Pass the Brush challenge—also called the Don’t Rush challenge.

It’s perfectly straightforward. You start the video as your usual self. Put on “Don’t Rush” by Young T and Bugsey’s. Then grab a makeup brush, apply it to the camera lens, and poof, you transform. Then you “pass” the makeup brush to the next person and edit it all together. TikTok users have used Pass the Brush for makeup makeovers, and in this case, Star Wars cosplayers use the brush for a head-to-toe renewal. It’s like watching someone wave a wand!

Natalie Lucia shared the above video featuring cosplayers as Padmé Amidala, Ahsoka Tano, the Armorer from The Mandalorian, Rey, and many more. I can’t stop watching. I have nothing but mad respect for these ladies going for it. They’re donning full Star Wars costumes complete with hair and makeup. Myself, I’ve barely changed out of my pajamas into non-pajamas every day.

It’s not the only Star Wars cosplay Pass the Brush challenge out there, because we are well and truly blessed. This one has a Star Wars music overlay and showcases the Daughter from The Clone Wars, Asajj Ventress, Val, and the list keeps going. Shared by The Saber Maidens, Christa put the above piece of art together.

My thanks to all of these cosplayers for absolutely making my day. I’ve watched these on repeat and feel totally energized and ready to take on the Empire.
