Ariana Piknjac is a classically trained flutist with a Masters degree in Flute performance, and a Bachelors degree in Music Theory & Education. Basically, she’s way fancier and more talented than we are. But even though she’s got several classical music performances on her Ariana Flute YouTube channel, Piknjac is also quite the pop culture enthusiast.
Via Geeks Are Sexy, we’ve discovered several of her flute covers from many a beloved film and TV series. All of these covers are very brief, with the longest being just over a minute long. The intention here is to keep them all energetic and fun. You can check out a few of her more delightful ones down below:
Just in time for spooky season, Piknjac dressed as Wednesday Addams, and delivered her version of The Addams Family theme song. The only thing that could make this any better is if her piano accompanist came dressed as Lurch.
Piknjac didn’t get dressed up as a secret agent for this Mission: Impossible cover. But that doesn’t make it any less cool. Listening to this just makes you want to sneak around the house while stealthily doing chores.
Danny Elfman’s iconic The Simpsons theme is already the definition of whimsical, wonderful, musical fluff. But somehow, Piknjac’s version is even lighter on its feet. There is nothing better to put you in that Springfield mood.
Wearing a “Boy Who Lived” scar on her forehead, Piknjac gives us her magical rendition of John Williams’ Harry Potter theme. One half expects Hedwig to fly into frame while listening to this lovely cover.
Piknjac also has several covers of pop music hits, both contemporary and classic. There’s current acts like Ed Sheeran, Post Malone, and Drake, and iconic artists such as AC/DC and Michael Jackson. You can check out all of Piknjac’s videos by heading on over to her YouTube channel.
