BALDUR’S GATE and More Classic D&D Games Coming to Major Consoles

All your favorite old-school dungeon crawlers like Baldur’s GateNeverwinter Nights, Icewind Dale, and more are heading to all your favorite not-so-old-school consoles this fall! The classic Dungeons & Dragons video games are coming to the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch this September thanks to Skybound Games and Beamdog.

This news comes hot on the heels of a rumor that a Baldur’s Gate III video game is in development by the makers of Divinity: Original Sin 2. In other words, this is a good time to be a fan of a good old fashioned dungeon crawl. Baldur’s Gate in particular is a beloved franchise; its first title released 20 years ago (yes, it’s been that long), and this new console collection includes updated editions and expansions of the game:

Celebrating the series’ 20th anniversary, the original Baldur’s Gate: Enhanced Edition and its sequel, Baldur’s Gate II: Enhanced Edition, return with all DLC and restored quest content, as well as the Baldur’s Gate: Siege of Dragonspear expansion, featuring new original content developed by Beamdog to bridge the two games.

Here’s the complete list of the games on the way to the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch:
