Warning: The following images may spoil specific moments from Captain Marvel.
It seems unspeakably cruel that after having waited four years since Captain Marvel‘s official announcement, ten years since the birth of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and 45 years since Carol Danvers made her comic book debut, some of us still have to wait until the end of the day before we can actually enjoy the hotly anticipated superhero film in theaters. (Lousy day jobs.)
But for those of you who can barely take another moment sans Vers, we’ve got a few dazzling images from the film to tide you over until showtime tonight. These are straight from Classic Stills, a gallery offering officially licensed fine art prints from movies and TV series. That means you can purchase any of the below images from their US website or UK website and bring them home.
Since Carol Danvers herself (played by Brie Larson) is no doubt the main attraction, we’ll begin with a slew of photos showcasing her in action.
Of course, no Kree is an island, and Captain Marvel doesn’t shoulder the entire movie on her own. Next up, take a gander at some of Carol’s supporting players, friend and foe alike. Present and accounted for are Jude Law’s Yon-Rogg, Carol’s Starforce mentor; Lashana Lynch’s Maria Rambeau, Carol’s Air Force copilot from her tenure as a mere Earthling; Samuel L. Jackson’s Nick Fury, who should need no introduction; Ben Mendelsohn’s nefarious Skrull leader Talos; and finally, the real star of the show, Goose the cat.
For a bonus, we’ve also got a couple behind-the-scenes photos, one showcasing the majesty of the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s expansive extraterrestrial reach, and the other just some good old-fashioned fun between Captain Marvel costars Larson and Jackson. They do seem like real life pals, don’t they? That’s what we prefer to believe, anyhow.
We hope these images have given you some relief until you can zoom out of the office and to the nearest theater for an opening weekend showing of Captain Marvel. (At least the Goose pic must have done the trick, right?)
