Running around with your arms behind you is tiring work. You get cricks in your shoulders, for one thing. Sometimes you just want to sit in a chair and toss cards down on a table. And if those cards have images from one of your favorite Shonen manga, then all the better. Bandai has you covered. The massive media company has today announced the official Naruto Card Game.
Designed as a competitive, strategy-focused trading card game, Naruto Card Game adapts Masashi Kishimoto’s beloved manga and anime of the same name. Check out the teaser trailer below.
The Naruto Card Game will make its debut at Gen Con 2026 ahead of its official 2027 launch. Players who attend the convention can also partake in the first-ever Naruto Card Game Tutorial Sessions. These “free, beginner-friendly walkthroughs” will teach attendees how to play with demo decks. By joining a Tutorial Session, participants can receive a gift set containing a CP-001 Chakra Card -Gen Con 2026 Ver.- promotional card, a special backpack, a sticker, and a purchase ticket for a “Naruto Card Game Official Playmat -Arriving in 2027-” (purchase ticket valid only on the day of the attended event).
Tutorial Session ticket registration will open on June 21 via the official Gen Con 2026 website. To participate, guests will need Gen Con admission. Additional Tutorial Sessions are planned at events round the world following the Gen Con kickoff. Further details, including card designs and a fuller look at the game and its roadmap, will be revealed on Wednesday, July 29, the day before Gen Con opens.
