We’re used to our childhood favorites “selling out.” It’s not surprising when a group we thought was “punk rock” makes one last cash grab either. And we’re definitely not shocked when a popular old TV show gets a reboot. Being absolutely thrilled about all of those things happening is rare though. But that’s how we feel after seeing the first trailer for Hulu‘s revival of Animaniacs.
Yakko, Wakko, and Dot haven’t missed a beat, even if they have missed a lot over the last twenty-plus years. Watch:
“They’re back! The Warner brothers, Yakko and Wakko, and the Warner sister Dot, have a great time wreaking havoc and mayhem in the lives of everyone they meet. After returning to their beloved home, the Warner Bros. water tower, the siblings waste no time in causing chaos and comic confusion as they run loose through the studio, turning the world into their personal playground. Joining Yakko, Wakko and Dot, fan-favorite characters Pinky and the Brain also return to continue their quest for world domination.”
An all-new seasons of Animaniacs is coming to Hulu this fall. And this modern version looks like it will live up to the original series. Between this trailer and the show’s spot-on Jurassic Park parody from this year’s virtual New York Comic Con, this reboot is picking up right where the old show left off in 1998. It’s perfectly zany with all of the same mad-cap energy and one-liners that defined the Warner Brothers and their sister Dot.
Plus they’re bringing Pinky and the Brain with them. The duo might not help with world domination, but they’ll help make the show as funny as it can be.

The 13-episode first season debuts on Hulu November 30. It stars the original voice cast members Jess Harnell, Rob Paulsen, Tress MacNeille, and Maurice LaMarche.
“Selling out” never sounded or looked as funny.
