The Weirdest THE LAST JEDI Theories the Cast Has Heard

Star Wars and fan theories. Whole corners of the internet are devoted to digging into every character hint and every turn of phrase to shape possibilities about the past and future. Some Redditors and Tumblr users are exceptionally talented at making strong cases for even the most ridiculous sounding ideas. Theories are certainly swirling around The Last Jedi and its characters, so when we sat down with the cast, we asked John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Andy Serkis, and Oscar Isaac about the weirdest things they’ve heard about their characters.

The character with the highest numbers of theories right now is possibly Supreme Leader Snoke. Everyone has an idea about his background and history and who or what he could be connected to. Serkis says the wildest one he’s heard is that Snoke is descended from Salacious B. Crumb, a.k.a. Jabba the Hutt’s laughing Kowakian monkey-lizard in Return of the Jedi. It’s one of those theories that is so bizarre you know Serkis didn’t make it up. He’s seen it somewhere. I’m scared to look, but there are probably Reddit threads devoted to proving it.

What are the most out there theories you’ve heard about the characters in The Last Jedi? Do you have any of your own? Tell us in the comments.
