Huey, Dewey, Louie, and the rest of the gang in DuckTales aren’t like your average mallards; they’re all sentient and wear shirts and live in a town populated by other anthropomorphized ducks, for starters. But they do have one thing in common with real-world waterfowl, which is that they dig the DuckTales theme song a whole lot.
What, you want proof? Well, first of all, you don’t need any because everyone likes that song, duh. But if you really insist, then I’ve got something for you: thanks to the computer wizardry of YouTube user Insane Cherry, now you can witness ducks, foxes, cats, dogs, and all kinds of other adorable critters coming together to sing their own version of the classic cartoon theme. As well they should. It’s a very catchy tune!
Naturally it’s always a treat to hear the Ducktales theme no matter who’s crooning it, but now feels like especially good timing. After all, the new animated DuckTales series is set to premiere on Disney XD this summer, and judging from all the trailers, it looks like it’s going to be a whole lot of fun. And I hate to say it, animals, but I’m pretty sure the new cast’s cover of the song is still the version to beat. I mean, singing dogs are cute and all, but singing David Tennant? In a Scottish accent, even? That’s something truly special. What about you, are you hype for the new animated series? Tell us all about it in the comments!
