Disney Princess Comics Line Gives the Characters a Fresh, Extra Cute Look

Disney Princess Comics Line Gives the Characters a Fresh, Extra Cute Look

Since Disney‘s acquisition of Marvel, there’s been an ongoing debate about which female heroes from the comics will become a Disney Princess. While we have yet to see any of them make an official transition, the opposite has occurred. Today, Disney announced the new Disney Princess Comics line.

In this first line, Joe Books will produce a series of hardcover graphic novels featuring Ariel, Rapunzel, Belle, Pocahontas, and Jasmine. The collection of “bite-sized comic strip stories” that focus on the characters’ day-to-day lives is by cartoonist and illustrator Amy Mebberson.

To support the books, Hasbro will be releasing super adorable figures. They’ve released two deluxe sets; one features Ariel, Eric and Ursula, while the other highlights Jasmine and Aladdin. Individual figure packs include Rapunzel, Pocahontas, and Belle. You can bring the poseable toys home and set them up to have adventures of their own.

Hybrid Designs is also joining in on the fun with new t-shirts featuring this style of Disney Princesses.

Where can you get all of this awesome stuff? Luckily you won’t have to go hunting from store to store. They are exclusive to Target and Target.com Let’s be honest, your trip to get some Tide Pods was going to result in an entire cart full of stuff anyway, so why not add items from the Disney Princess Comics line to it?

You can check out more pictures from the line in the gallery below.

So what do you think? Which of these figures is your favorite? What other princesses and characters would you like to see added? Let us know on Facebook or in the comments.
