Wouldn’t it be great to have a console that does it all? Chinese YouTuber “xnzxnz” engineered a truly impressive feat, creating the gaming console of all gaming consoles. A three-in-one hybrid between a PS5, Nintendo Switch 2, and an Xbox Series X, the creation has been dubbed the “Ningtendo PXBOX 5.”
Imagine being able to say you built your gaming console from scratch? Impressive, right?
It’s a bit more sporadic these days, but console-exclusive games do still exist. Not being able to play a game because it’s not compatible with your console is like having a rock in your shoe. Not the end of the world, but extremely annoying and inconvenient. Having an all-in-one console seems like the perfect solution. At least xnzxnz certainly thought so. Merging components of not two, but three different consoles, she can easily switch (ha) between PS5, Nintendo Switch 2, and Xbox Series X.
How did she do it, you might ask? Essentially, she stripped each system down and did a little technical Frankenstein-ing, if you will, rearranging and discarding parts as needed. The mega-console runs together on central components, with a single 250W power supply and cooling fan. She revealed her creation on YouTube in November, but it’s just now gaining traction here in the United States. The final touch: a button that, when pressed, quickly switches between the three consoles in a matter of seconds. To see exactly how her process unraveled, you can watch the full video below.
The Birth of an All-in-One Gaming Console:
It truly is something deserving of a standing ovation. The only downside is that the PS5 and Xbox Series X are limited to digital-only devices, as there’s no room for any disc drives. A small price to pay for a gaming console among kings. Next game night, I know whose house I want to be invited to.
