Wendy’s Launches WendyQuest, a Free RPG to Win Rewards

Wendy’s is turning the drive-thru into a dungeon. Yesterday, the fast-food chain launched WendyQuest, a retro RPG where players can win discounts at Wendy’s. Players join Wendy on an epic journey across five food-themed regions, including salty forests, seasoned deserts, rugged beefy bluffs and Frosty-capped peaks. Each region is filled with hidden secrets and rewards waiting to be discovered.

The story centers on the villainous Dr. MechBorg, whose army of mechs has spread a curse called “Mechtosis” across the land of Savoria. Only Wendy can restore order to Savoria’s people and end the “Mechidemic” once and for all. Along the way, players square off against flavorless foes in strategic turn-based battles, timing their attacks perfectly to deal supersized damage.

There are five Mech Bosses and five rewards, available while supplies last. Defeat each boss to unlock free Wendy’s food with purchase:

  • Free medium fry
  • Free small Classic Frosty
  • Free 10-piece nuggets
  • Free biscuit or croissant
  • Free Dave’s Single

Each victory unlocks a code that can be redeemed in the Wendy’s app, which means app food rewards are now officially part of your gaming loot. Finally, boss battles with benefits you can bite into.

It’s a playful mashup of nostalgia and marketing. Retro RPGs have a loyal following, and Wendy’s is betting that players will happily grind through turn-based battles for a free Frosty. Whether you’re a longtime gamer or just someone who never turns down free nuggets, WendyQuest gives you a reason to save Savoria, and your wallet, at the same time.
