Wednesday season two left us with quite the cliffhanger. Enid is fully wolfed out and ran off to parts unknown, with Wednesday going to look for her. Miss Capri takes Tyler to join a secret group of Hydes and we discover that Aunt Ophelia is alive and being held captive in Grandmama’s basement. It is a lot, indeed. Thankfully, we won’t be left out to dry because Wednesday season three is happening. Production wrapped in September 2026, which means we will probably get the new season sometime next year.
Here’s what we know about Wednesday season three so far.
Wednesday Season 3’s Plot
Right now, we don’t have plot specifics. But, as we mentioned earlier, there are those plot threads that we will address, and it will take us out of Nevermore Academy’s scope a lot more. For some reason, Aunt Ophelia did write on the wall that Wednesday must die, but we aren’t totally sure why. Something as trivial as death wouldn’t scare Wednesday anyway.
Behind-the-Scenes
Alfred Gough and Miles Millar will continue as showrunners, with Tim Burton as executive producer and director. It is not clear if he will direct all of this season’s episodes or if someone else will get behind the camera. Netflix announced that Wednesday season three filming was a wrap with a photo of our favorite sarcastic girl sitting at her beloved typewriter.
Wednesday Season 3’s Cast
Of course, all of our usual suspects from the Addams family are returning as well as others like Billie Piper’s Capri. But this season has some interesting new names as well, like Eva Green as Ophelia Frump, Winona Ryder as a character named Tabitha, and Game of Thrones alum Lena Heady in an unknown role.
Wednesday Season 3’s Release Date
There is no release date at this time but we can assume this show will return sometime in 2027.
