Watch a Recruitment Video for WEDNESDAY’s Nevermore Academy

One of the upcoming Netlfix series we’re most excited about is Wednesday. The show is not only a continuation of the Addams Family franchise, but it’s also a return to the gothic whimsicalness of Tim Burton. In the upcoming series, a teenage Wednesday Addams (Jenna Ortega) goes to her parent’s alma mater, the Nevermore Academy. This is an elite school for outcasts and weirdos. (Where do we sign up?)

Now, Netflix is giving us a look at a recruitment video for Nevermore, hosted by Principal Larissa Weems ( Gwendoline Christie). It features students who share insight about what it’s like to attend this esteemed (and deeply weird) private school. You can watch the video in full right here:

Also live is the official Nevermore Academy website. You can check it out now, should you wish to learn further details about this bizarre institution of learning. You’ll also be able to take a short quiz to determine if Nevermore is the right school for you. They will mail out notifications to those chosen few oddballs admitted to Nevermore this fall.

Wednesday’s new school has the aesthetic of Hogwarts, with a student body of more diverse powers like Xavier’s School from X-Men. You can read the official description for Nevermore Academy below.

Nevermore Academy was founded in 1791 to provide an educational haven for the supernaturally gifted Outcasts of the world. Named in honor of its most famous graduate, Edgar Allan Poe, the boarding school is home to werewolves, vampires, sirens, gorgons, and a spectrum of other students with uniquely chilling gifts. Nestled in the secluded woods of New England, the school grounds are just a brisk 25-minute walk away from the picturesque town of Jericho, one of the original Pilgrim settlements.

The new series will focus on the titular Wednesday, as she deals with emerging psychic powers, and becomes embroiled in a mystery that once involved her famous parents, Gomez and Morticia, when they attended Nevermore. Wednesday debuts on Netflix sometime this fall.
