The Boys season four is drumming up a ton of excitement already. We know that our supes and our titular antihero crew are coming back for another round. But now we are getting news about new faces coming into Vought’s ridiculous world of superhero crime, blood, and butt stuff. The Walking Dead’s Jeffrey Dean Morgan—who still portrays Negan—will join The Boys in season four.
Right now, the details about Morgan’s character are under wraps. However, we are sure that Supernatural fans are once again flailing at this crossover. They already got Jensen Ackles a.k.a. Dean Winchester in season three, and now Dean’s father is coming in the next season of The Boys. Will Jeffrey Dean Morgan’s character have a connection to Soldier Boy? That remains to be seen. In fact, it is not completely certain if Ackles will reprise his role as Soldier Boy next season or not. Of course, Morgan will have a Supernatural reunion with The Boys‘ showrunner Eric Kripke, either way.
In classic The Boys fashion, the show’s always hilarious Twitter page posted the announcement. And, along with welcoming Morgan to the show, they posted a photo of him with the caption, “Give me some tights. I’m ready for some tights.” Honestly, we’d love to see it. We already know that Jeffrey Dean Morgan would make a great villain on The Boys. He terrified all of us back when Negan was ruling the Sanctuary with a barbed wire bat. Sure, he’s less evil now but just imagine how terrible he would have been with Homelander’s powers. And, it would be cool to see Homelander get some stiff competition next season.
There’s still so much to be revealed about The Boys season four, which you can keep up with in our nifty “Everything We Know” guide. Until the next big annoucement or tidbit of information, we will continue to speculate on if Jeffrey Dean Morgan will be a friend or a foe in The Boys.
