The Boys is coming back for its fifth and final season in less than one month. If the series can stick its landing, it will certainly go down as one of the best TV shows in the last 20 years. From its storytelling with impeccable pacing to all those shocking and gory moments that fans live for, The Boys took its source material and elevated it in every way. Like its previous seasons, The Boys season five will have eight episodes to bring things to a close. But, what is the release schedule for The Boys season five? We finally have it and it is slightly different from a typical Prime Video schedule.
Many Prime Video shows tend to release the first three episodes of a series followed by weekly releases leading up to the finale. However, The Boys social media pages revealed that season five will drop its two episodes on April 8. Then, there will be weekly releases every Wednesday until the series finale on May 20. It’s kinda sad to realize that things are coming to an end but, with so many shows getting cancelled early, we are glad it gets to tell the complete story.
It is not completely clear what time new episodes will drop on that date, but it will likely be at 12AM PT/3AM ET. However, Fallout did release their new episodes later at night at 6PM PT/9PM ET, so we will have to see if this show takes that route. Either way, now that we have the full release schedule for The Boys season five, we know when to be in front of our TV screens to watch Homelander crash out every week.
