Stranger Things will soon return for its third season on the Fourth of July, after a fairly long hiatus. We only know a little bit about what this season will entail, but we do know that “he-of-the-amazing hair” Steve Harrington will be working at a faux ice-cream chain called “Scoops Ahoy” in the newly opened Hawkins Mall this season.
As a clever promotional tie-in, real life ice cream giant Baskin-Robbins has teamed up with Netflix to produce some Stranger Things-inspired flavors debuting right before season three hits. And select Baskin-Robbins locations around the country will even be decked out to look like the Scoops Ahoy sets from the show. There will be several distinct Stranger Things inspired flavors, which you can check out down below:
First off, there will be “Eleven’s Heaven,” which is a waffle cone flavored ice cream filled with sugar cone pieces and a chocolate-flavored coating. Eleven also gets honored with the “Elevenade Freeze,” a drink made with vanilla ice cream and Minute Maid Lemon Smoothie.
The Upside-Down’s monster du jour gets some love too with its own concoction, called the Demogorgon Sundae. This one comes in a waffle cone and is covered in red sprinkles. (Are they blood red sprinkles??) There will also be an Upside-Down flavored sundae, which will actually be upside down, and with the Upside Down Pralines Flavor of the Month.
And finally, the iconic Christmas lights that Joyce Byers put up in her home back in season one get their own shout-out with Byers House Lights Polar Pizza Ice Cream Treat. This one might end up being my favorite, as its made of Chocolate Chip Polar Pizza crust with Snickers ice cream, and then topped with strings of fudge and M&Ms Chocolate Candy Christmas Lights.
Baskin-Robbins will also have exclusive season 3 swag for fans, like an exclusive Steve Funko figure, and several 80’s-inspired magnets, sticker sets, and Stranger Things t-shirts.
