STRANGER THINGS’ Entire 5-Season Score Gets Massive Vinyl Box Set

We here at Nerdist know a little something about great songs inspired by the Upside Down, but fans of the show know the actual music from Netflix’s ’80s pop culture homage is terrific on its own. The score was a big part of what made the series so good. And we love it. And soon, fans will get to enjoy it all by itself. Stranger Things‘ soundtrack is getting its own 17-album vinyl box set featuring all of the show’s original music from all five seasons.

Lakeshore Records has announced it’s celebrating Stranger Things‘ 10th anniversary with a collection that goes well past Eleven. Its new Stranger Things vinyl collection consists of a whopping 17 records that make up the entire score to the entire Netflix series. This box set has every track from Emmy-winning and Grammy-nominated composers Kyle Dixon and Michael Stein. It also comes with the pair’s bonus album, Halloween Sounds from the Upside Down.

Obviously, you can’t explore the music of the Upside Down without encountering our favorite vine-covered demon. So to make sure Henry Creel got in on the fun, the Stranger Things vinyl albums come pressed on red and orange colored vinyl that Lakeshore Records calls “Vecna’s Gate Vinyl.” The box set also includes gatefold jackets and full-color inner sleeves. The artwork on each celebrates the different seasons, characters, and plot lines that had us returning to Hawkins, Indiana, again and again. As for the set’s exterior, the Mind Flayer gets the top spot. That makes sense, since he literally towers over everyone/every demon.
