Until recently, fans who wanted to try Butterbeer or other tasty treats from J.K. Rowling‘s novels had to visit the Wizarding World of Harry Potter attractions at Universal Orlando or Universal Studios Hollywood. And while those are certainly trips worth taking, fans won’t have to go quite that far to get a sample of a few Potter-inspired beverages. Starbucks has a secret menu with three Harry Potter inspired drinks that can be yours as soon as your next coffee break. Via Buzzfeed, the first two drinks are the Butterbeer Latte and the Butterbeer Frappuccino. The Butterbeer Latte starts as a traditional latte with whole milk, which gets enhanced by pumps of “caramel syrup, toffee nut syrup, and cinnamon dolce syrup.” And to add a special flourish to the drink, it’s suggested that whipped cream and salted caramel bits should be used as the toppings.
The Butterbeer Frappuccino is a little easier to prepare. It’s starting point is a Crème Frappuccino with added pumps of toffee nut and caramel syrups. It’s also suggested that caramel drizzle be used to finish off the beverage.
The unofficial Starbucks Secret Menu site has also listed a Harry Potter’s Pumpkin Juice beverage, which consists of 1.5 to 3 pumps of pumpkin spice sauce, apple juice to the top line, with ice used to fill the rest of the cup. Those are the three Potter-inspired drinks that we’re currently aware of, but we’ll keep our eyes out for more!
