We Brought 2 STAR WARS Cosplayers to Space Camp for a Jedi vs. Sith Challenge

We here at Nerdist are in the business of making dreams come true. To round out the year, we’ve decided to make good on a handful of dreams at once: the dream of every kid to go to Space Camp, the dream of every  Star Wars fan to live out an adventure as their favorite character, and the dream of every Kyle Hill to put his fellow geeks through a series of increasingly rigorous physical and intellectual challenges in the same of glory alone.

Armed with a mission sponsored by EA’s  Star Wars™ Battlefront™ II, our beloved (if not a little power-hungry) science editor Kyle Hill traveled down to the U.S. Space & Rocket Center in Huntsville, Alabama, to host three days’ worth of Jedi vs. Sith competitions for a pair of truly worthy Star Wars cosplayers: Jessie Pridemore, playing the heroic part of Rey, and Milynn Sarley, donning the nefarious garb of Iden Versio.

The contest ran Jessie and Milynn through challenges that tested their abilities in climbing, marksmanship, engineering, withstanding the mind-scrambling properties of the multi-axis trainer, and undergoing the perils of the underwater micro-gravity simulator.

Though only one Star Wars super fan came out the ultimate winner, putting to rest once and for all the question of whether Jedi overpowers Sith (or vice versa), we have to take our space helmets off to both women for their fortitude, ingenuity, and good sportsmanship… not to mention some impressive Star Wars Battlefront II knowledge, and not-too-shabby cosplaying skills either.

Thanks to Star Wars™ Battlefront™ II for making these videos possible. Star Wars™ Battlefront™ II is available now for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Click here to learn more and pick up a copy.

More Star Wars fun!
