If you’ve longed to wear Padmé Amidala’s magnificent pastel lake dress from Attack of the Clones but have zero energy to make your own, your day is here. Her Universe‘s new fashion collection for the upcoming Star Wars Celebration features an everyday version of that dress, as well as several more designs focused on female characters. The Sisters of the Force collection, announced by StarWars.com on Wednesday, honors many women of the galaxy from the films to the animated series.
And yes, I want to buy almost all of it. Thank you for asking.
Her Universe founder Ashley Eckstein told StarWars.com she “wanted to shine the spotlight on the women of Star Wars with this collection.” The designs honor the aforementioned Padmé, Rey, Ahsoka Tano, General Leia Organa, Rose Tico, Amilyn Holdo, Sabine Wren, and Hera Syndulla. The looks incorporate everyday cosplay touches while also being functional, like with the Rose Tico coat. It’s inspired by the mechanic’s suit Rose wears in The Last Jedi; it includes details, like a patch emulating the necklace Rose held near and dear.
The Star Wars Rebels Sabine design is a moto jacket, which fits right in with the character’s attitude and style choices.
And while a full-length cape is not always practical for day to day wear, a capelet meets coat can provide warmth and a fashionable cut-movement combo that elevates any outfit.
But my favorite of all the designs may be the below constellation piece. Illustrated by Ashley Taylor, the art depicts 27 female characters in the stars above us. The art comes on a t-shirt and a pullover.
